What falling in Love has taught me as an Artist

In my earliest days, I sought the truth,
A lesson missed from early youth.
The art of love, of self, so pure,
If known back then, would be my cure.
———————————————-
In shadowed lanes, I tried to find,
A love to fill my heart and mind.
Yet battles raged, the love not mine,
In empty arms, my soul did pine.
———————————————-
But then a shift, a gentle breeze,
Whispered secrets among the trees.
I turned within, to find this gold,
A love so deep, so strong, so bold.
———————————————-
To my own needs, I turned my gaze,
And found the warmth, the sun’s own blaze.
When tears did fall, and nights grew cold,
I held myself, my arms did hold.
———————————————-
The hunger ceased, my heart did mend,
For in myself, I found this friend.
A cake, a hug, a wish, just for me,
In every challenge, victory.
———————————————-
Through painted strokes and words so clear,
I found the beauty, held it near.
Truth, edge, and grace, I claimed them all,
In my love’s embrace, I stood tall.
———————————————-
For in the end, the lesson clear,
Love starts within me, it was always near.
And when we brim with love so true,
We light up the world, both me and you.
———————————————-
With pure love,
Chu
